1. Data Entry
Forms no longer need to be retyped or scanned and then put through OCR technologies and corrected. Instead the person responsible for logging the form receives it in an electronic format directly from the pen. This is interpreted by the Capturx® software and converted into digital data within each field. To assist in data recognition the form designer can "seed" each field with expected results and expected data formats. The individual logging the form can see both the original written field and its digital interpretation. This allows easy and quick corrections should they be required. Within the financial services market the savings in data entry time can be as much as 30 minutes per form.
2. Compliance
Capturx® is an invaluable solution if your business needs to demonstrate some form of compliance or data integrity within its paper forms. Each page within a form is given a unique watermark and each digital pen has a unique serial number. Combine this with data timestamping and it is possible to demostrate the providence of each form within any regulated industry.
3. Process streamlining
Rather than waiting for paper forms to be returned and entered, Capturx® allows data to be transmitted via a mobile phone or laptop with access to the internet. Forms can be made quickly available to mangers for review or captured into company data systems where business logic can be applied. If a field engineer finds a fault then within minutes of completing the form a response team can be notified. If a salesman takes a large product order, internal staff can begin to plan production and delivery schedules before the salesman even returns to the office.
